How do I know I need insoles? If you are experiencing foot, ankle, knee or lower back pain, the symptoms may be as a result of your feet. Pain, flat feet, poor balance, and abnormal shoe wear are all signs you should consider insoles.
You will first require assessment by the Podiatrist, who will assess the lower limbs and provide gait analysis and pressure plate foot scan analysis. This will indicate if an insole is required.
Like glasses, insoles help improve symptoms when worn consistently. Depending on the insole, some devices require replacement after 2/3 or 5 years. Insoles may also need to be modified or renewed as the patient needs change with the ageing process
Insoles are proven to reduce tissue stress, reduce pain and improve gait. This reduces the risk of injury or further damage to joints, ligaments and tendons.
Insoles range from £45- £340
